Performative feedback composition
A microphone built into the speaker of a MacBook Pro registers the surrounding sound. The speaker playback is active. Closing the laptop triggers an acoustic feedback loop. The original function of the computer loses its relevance. The object generates a high-pitched sonic constant that can be shaped and disturbed through my interventions. The laptop becomes an instrument, not programmed or operated, but experienced directly through the body. A loop emerges: my awareness reacts to the acoustic signals produced by my physical impact. The body affects the material, the material generates sound, the sound returns to perception and directs the next action. A feedback cycle between mind, body and instrument. I move on the threshold between creation and destruction

Performative Feedback-Komposition
Ein im Audiospeaker des MacBook Pro eingebautes Mikrofon registriert die Geräusche der Umgebung. Die Lautsprecherwiedergabe ist aktiviert. Durch das Zuklappen des Laptops entsteht eine akustische Rückkopplungsschleife. Die ursprüngliche Computerfunktion verliert ihre Bedeutung. Das Objekt erzeugt von selbst eine hochfrequente Klangkonstante, die sich durch meine Eingriffe modulieren lässt. Der Laptop wird zu einem Instrument, das nicht programmiert oder gesteuert, sondern direkt körperlich erfahren wird. Ein Kreislauf entsteht: Mein Bewusstsein reagiert auf die akustischen Signale, die durch meine physischen Eingriffe erzeugt werden. Der Körper beeinflusst das Material, das Material generiert den Klang, der Klang greift zurück auf meine Wahrnehmung und lenkt meine nächste Bewegung. Eine Rückkopplungsschleife zwischen Geist, Körper und Instrument. Ich bewege mich auf der Grenze zwischen Erschaffen und Zerstören
